MÁNTICA COLLABORATES IN THE R+D+i PROJECT TELCOBLOCKS
Telecom Service Delivery Plaforms for NGN
Madrid – August the
1st – 2008 – Mántica will collaborate in the development of
TELCOBLOCKS, innovation project that has been granted by the Avanza I+D 2008
Program. TELCOBLOCKS will be developed by Mántica in partnership with a group
of innovative Spanish companies - Grupo Gesfor, 20.20 Mobile and GMV – as well
as the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
TELCOBLOCKS aims to provide an open platform for the
efficient design and development of telecom services for Next Generation
Networks (NGN). JAIN SLEE, SIP and Parlay are some of the base technologies to
be adopted in the project.
Carlos Ángel Iglesias, Technical Director at Grupo
Gesfor says that “TELCOBLOCKS offers us the chance to be in the vanguard of the
technology necessary for the NGN’s, and will allow Gesfor to transfer that
knowledge and experience to our customers”. On the other side, Miguel Ángel
Núńez, Technical Director at Mántica comments: “TELCOBLOCKS represents
Mántica’s commitment with the excellence and a proof of our strategy to
position the company as a Spanish leader in innovation in the NGN space.”
